i could be going, however if its 21st of may or later ill just buy it in the US.
Erm it is LATE May, It is going to be after the 21st for sure. Pretty much a no brainer there. they always leave at least 14 days for preorders.
Depending on the day I might be there to get some accesories. I cracked and Imported an Ipad that should arrive next week.

I honestly do not think that much of what we saw today was the <i>real</i> iPhone. I am led to believe that everything from the phone calls to the satellite maps was all carefully planned, downloaded, packaged, and arranged as to prevent something from going on. I don't think that one of the calls made in that room today was legit. As such, they did not break the law regarding FCC. Nor is it false advertising, for the product millions of people end up buying will do everything Steve showed today, yet in a much less "science-lab" sense.
Also, the FCC could argue that what Steve did today was not really a test. Once your product is done being tested it has to receive FCC clearance. Or else anybody could go out and make walkie talkies or their own cell phone or other wireless devices.

Yeah the value changes. Fortune is a Linux command line application that gives a fortune every time it's run. I want to post this output to twitter and as you may know twitter only takes 140 characters.
I don't think you're walking through your code. You should sit down with a paper and pencil and walk through it while pretending to be the computer.
I do not mean "Imagine walking through it". I mean actually walk through it one line at a time, and actually write out what happens at each command line step. Then answer this question: Within the loop, when and where does the value of FORTUNE or COUNT change? If you can't find that place, then the problem and solution should be obvious.
In olden days this was called "bench-checking your work".

Eric, which side of your gf's car got hit? A "T-bone" accident is a very scary thing. It's amazing that you are both unscathed, but you WILL be much more sore today and tomorrow than you were last night. Make sure you both consult a doctor. ;)

Wow, how long did it take for you to come up with that speech?http://www.littlereview.com/goddesslouise/articles/oscrpost.htm
It's totally ripped off from an Oscar acceptance speech by Sir Laurence Olivier.

God peoples, the font size was 99% of the size it was supposed to be. But when you're right your right. The fonts do look much sharper now. I think I must have been staring at the theme too long to notice anymore. :p
(The theme has been updated, but the info on the page doesn't reflect the changes yet.)
All right, all right, I for one have quit my whining and installed the theme. And so far I like it! :D

Hello,
new to motion, but noticed how much RAM it hogged, gobbled up all 8 gigs avail.
i have dimms 3,4,7 and 8 open with the rest of the slots filled with 2GB.
How much should I shoot for and whats the smart way to fill slots?
Thanks!
Wow...really depends on what you're doing in Motion (i.e. HD video with multiple layers). But I've done Motion with 4GBs of RAM and didn't notice much of a slow down.
Of course, adding RAM won't hurt - just remember to install RAM evenly (ie. all the sticks be the same amount).

Rumor today reveals Steve should survive in good health for the next 30 years. He received some special drugs when he was out of the country. It'll be years before the FDA approves them here.

Blu-Ray + MPEG2 HD, looks like vomit!!! ;)
<]=)
Exactly! I'm hoping that a CRT HDTV will help mask the problems. But I think for obvious MPEG artifacts it's Sky HD who takes the biscuit.

I only played the demo of the first one - a lot of feedback said the quests got repetitive after a while - I guess you didn't feel that way...?
Not at all. Of course, I play mostly NCAA Football and Madden, so I'm used to it if it is.

I am curious though, how many people register, and why? It does not affect warranty at all.

but if i hook up an ACD with minidisplayport it does recognise the USB ports... right? so does it also recognise USB ports on my imac? when i use it as a screen?
im not going all on thunderbolt i was just implying that that would be what i use. i know the imac only has minidisplay.
If you're using the 27" ACD, then you're plugging in a the MiniDisplay Port, and a separate USB cable; the USB cable where it recognizes devices and sends it back to your Mac via the USB.
But, that's assuming you're using the latest ACD (which does not have ThunderBolt, but a MiniDisplay Port).

Just cleaned it, didn't help.
