The standard resolution for DVD is 720 x 576 pixels, so 800x600 should do the trick.
For myself, when I doubt the quality of a movie or whatever I want to play on a TV/DVD set, I burn the files on a DVD-RW first. In most cases the quality is better on TV than it seems on my computerscreen. Sure the fact my monitor has higher resolution than my TV and the distance from what you watch your TV (lots more than from where you look at my monitor) will play a role.
Good luck

Is it definitely in the headphone jack of your Mac?
Once plugged into the TV, select the necessary AV input (there's probably a little symbol next to the inputs on your TV to let you know which one to select - it won't be an HDMI input).
Ensure the red and white phonos on your TV aren't actually outputs.
Check the volume on your Mac is turned up.
What make is your TV.

There were several stories on that a while back. (http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=google+dns+slow+apple+downloads&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8)Don't recall the outcome.
FWIW, I'm on OpenDNS and I just installed Tiger from scratch on 2 machines and downloads were very fast.

This will be great with a Mac Mini and once they get a final release. I hope, if this reaches a good enough release stage, that perhaps Apple could sell it on their website or whatever.

I used these guys for a professional resume (VP level) a few years ago. They do technical resumes as well. As I recall, they will do a re-write within 60 days if it's not working out for you.

Can not WAIT for this album...love everything Danger Mouse touches...especially the Beck, Gnarls Barkley and Gorillaz stuff he's worked on...should prove to be a very exciting release...2010 is shaping up to be a better year for music than 09 already! First single on December 21st!
------------------------
Broken Bells, the new collaborative project featuring The Shins James Mercer and Danger Mouse, will unveil its self-titled debut album on March 9th via Columbia Records. The effort is said to feature 10 melodically seductive and psychologically provocative songs co-written and performed by Mercer and Burton, including The High Road, which will be released as the first single on December 21st.
In addition to singing and songwriting, Mercer handles guitar and bass, while Danger Mouse plays organ, drums, piano, synths and bass. The pair play all the instruments on the album with the exception of a full string section arranged by Daniele Luppi. Not surprisingly, Danger Mouse also handled production. The album was recorded with Todd Monfalcone and Kennie Takahashi at Mondo Studio in Los Angeles.
For a sample ahead of the singles release, we suggest you head to Stereogum and find the results of their amateur detective work.
Oh and just in case you were wondering how a dude from The Shins hitched up with the dude from Gnarls Barkley, according to the issued press release, Danger Mouse and Mercer first met face-to-face backstage at the 2004 Roskilde Festival in Copenhagen. The pair immediately hit it off and kept in touch over the prevailing half decade and in May 2008 seized the opportunity to finally collaborate on original music together. Once in the studio, the musical floodgates opened, an intuitive ease and seemingly ego-less telepathy producing an astonishing flow of new material over the course of a year. From more than 20 pieces of new music written and recorded, Broken Bells was assembled from 10 songs that coalesced together the most seamlessly.

I know someone at a smaller AT&T store (lynwood) and they're apparently getting 80 total. I hear supply is going to be tight.
Nobody else go to Northgate, ok? Its way out of my way (I live almost in downtown) but northgate is the best thing off top I can come up with and I was 11th in line there last year without problems.

after looking at the new version I felt that it was great but the ads just really killed it. The space at the top was really hurtful of the overall design. I forked over a whopping $20 for a year and got the member version and look at how nice it looks! Plus think of how good the money can be used by Arn to make this an even better site!

One interesting bit of information about T-Mobile most people are unaware of.
As TFA mentions, this press conference centered around T-Mobile's 3G plans, after they won a large amount of spectrum in the recent FCC auctions.
What's interesting is the amount of spectrum they won. They essentially won spectrum in every single US market in the USA, including Hawaii and Alaska. This makes them the first network in the US that really could, if it wanted to, cover the entire USA with their own network.
For reasons that escape me, the FCC has always subdivided the country into small areas, some as small as a county, when auctioning licenses. I think this is because the FCC is pretty convinced that cellphones are actually just a form of long range cordless phone and nobody expects them to work more than a few miles from home or something.
This time the FCC auctioned much larger areas, called REAs, overlapping a lot of much smaller areas that were also licensed, called BEAs and CMAs. T-Mobile won one of each of the REAs, the largest areas, with the exception of Alaska. They were also won a BEA which is one of the few that is large enough to cover an entire state - namely, Alaska.
I'm not saying T-Mobile will roll out a truly "works everywhere" network. The frequencies chosen for 3G are high (1750MHz downlink and 2150MHz uplink), so the whole "goes through walls" problem that T-Mobile currently suffers from (their current network is 1900MHz) isn't going to get any better. And clearly, there's little economic incentive to put a tower in the middle of a desert, whether you have a license for it or not. But certainly they have the capability now of doing so, and providing coverage everywhere, which is pretty cool.

Hi! This might be a bit difficult but would be very useful for me posting at my blog.
I would like to have something like this: (example of a page talking about the iBook)
Check for (link)Ibooks(/link) on Ebay
I would like this to be automatically at the end of the page when I write a post on the blog.
I dont know PHP very well but i was thinking something like this:
At each page, I could add a value like Value=Ibook G4 and then make it make a custom ebay URL that searches for Ibook G4 (thats easy to do).
I would insert all those codes at the PHP theme file for where the posts appear and just add ex: value=iBook G4 in my posts everytime
(I already have adsense ads that appear automatically)
Anyone here know their PHP/HTML to help me out doing this?
Thanks!

my ibook still thinks that the earphones are plugged in, and therefore it won't use it's built in speakers even when i unplug the line of the earphones. i check the system preferences, and it's options are only: "headphones: built in audio." this is annoying!
Did the speakers work before? Have you always left your headphones in. Are you sure you dont have them muted?

Vim.
Old school. The best editor for working close to the metal.
When I first started programming in the early 90's I was a Windows dev in a Solaris shop. The unix guys could cut code many times faster than any Windows dev. You don't need a mouse. You just need your keys. In fact I'm just getting back to programming after a 9 year absence and I'm using vi with Tcl, Java and Javascript.

Saw an ABC Australia journalist in Japan reporting that because the phones are down people are using Facebook to post their status and location to let their families and friends know how they are. I assume Facebook will make some mileage out of this.
One of my friends has Facebook posts of one of the aftershocks where he and a bunch of others are standing out by the airplanes at Tokyo's airport. He said that luckily nobody at the International terminal in the airport seemed to be hurt, and that the duty free shops were pretty much toast. I assume he and the others are spending the night at the airport and not trying to head back to the city.
