As of today, I worked a full 7 hours shift and an hour of over time. By making time and a half the first 7 hours and time and a half to the time and a half for the 1 hour the next paycheck will be REALLY nice. I think I shall buy an Apple TV.

Good, bad, right or wrong, Apple is not going to release any new hardware until it rolls out its "cloud." And after it flips the switch on the cloud, there will be a month or two or three of integrating the cloud into existing hardware before they roll out anything new.
No iPhone until late fall at earliest. Probably not until next year.

Bertrand Serlet (Apple)
Apple today announced (http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2011/03/23serlet.html) that Bertrand Serlet, senior vice president of Mac Software Engineering, will be departing the company in order to "focus less on products and more on science", although his specific destination remains unknown. Serlet joined Steve Jobs at NeXT in 1989, and transitioned to Apple in 1997 when NeXT was acquired and Jobs brought back to lead Apple.

Serlet will be replaced by Craig Federighi, currently Apple's vice president of Mac Software Engineering and who has led Mac OS X engineering for the past two years. Federighi is another former NeXT and Apple employee who spent ten years at Ariba before returning to Apple in 2009. Serlet notes that the transition should be seamless given Federighi's role in leading the current Mac OS X team.Serlet has occasionally appeared at Apple keynote and media events over the years to introduce Mac OS X-related features, and thus well known to longtime Apple followers. Federighi made his first public presentation since his return to Apple at last October's "Back to the Mac" event (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/10/20/live-coverage-of-apples-back-to-the-mac-media-event/), taking the stage to show off some of the features of Apple's forthcoming Mac OS X Lion.

I just don't agree. Whatever they are ? So it it was short like @sex.com or @s__t.com (fill in the underscore yourself), would they care then? I think they would. To me its all about image. Short is nice, but it should be NEUTRAL. The word 'me' does not fit the neutral part, just like 'sex' or 's__t' does not. Of course this is just opinion.
So what's wrong with @suit.com? My humor for the day. Thanks for playing.
why would the file be "Untitled"?
(is this even shot in Lion?)
This guy is right. After pointing that out, this is most likely 100% fake, but who knows.

Figured I would start this thread.
NYC - 23rd Street and Madison store (near Madison Square Park) - I went in at 10:00 AM and they were sold out. The manager said they received 5 iPhones.

just took a look, and these guys have an interesting story about Apple ceasing to use Rendezvous as a brand. I didn't see that on MacRumors, so I might check out Cafe Macs every now and then. Every other site I've seen has had redundant news, but this caught me by surprise.

Yes ppl still use Notes.
> for the price its cheaper than MS Exchange. And isnt limited to 50K accounts (for email that is. Without additions/packs).
Sametime 7.5 just went GOLD+ for the past few weeks. Its interface looks pretty good and the ability to keep the history in a chat for INDIVIDUAL ppl that participated - for a limited time pre set by the user, or indefinately. But its STILL buggy, crashing on end on multiple machines (WinXP SP2) without a cause; that we can figure out.
BTW; I work at IBM here in Toronto for their client BNSF.
This should be interesting to see how Apple rolls with this announcement.

Patents only mean something if they're completely defended from copycats. I believe both companies are 100% correct in bringing legal action if they believe their patents have been violated without fair compensation.
As an AAPL shareholder, I am glad Apple is challenging all over with their patent portfolio, as it provides more intangible value to the company, its future products, and of course the stock values.
I hope Apple wins in all battles, and we should be behind them for seeking damages not ridicule them as I see on these forums so often.

That's odd. My iPad 2 does return to the previous spot when I hit back. Have you tried to see if it does it on every web page or just a handful?

First off way to respond to the least important point in my post ...
Least important?
It was the main point of your argument: prison is supposed to be horrible.
I can understand your desire to downplay it though.
Upon reflection it probably seemed like a poor choice of words, even to you.

My cable bill makes me want to puke.. I'd hold my entertainment spending up against any on this forum..
I'm refusing to buy the latest CRAP-laden disks, possible-broadcast flag-filled broadcasts, and downloads they're trying to shove down our throats in the future... I'm saying if they want to keep my future business at anywhere near my current rates, they better make the future DRM/Crap/etc more like what we have now, or they will loose sales..
How can that NOT be on their RADAR?
Shrug
jwd
What cable services do you have?
If you have digital cable, you're buying into their DRM.
If you have a cable-company supplied DVR, you're buying into their DRM.
You just haven't seen it really get kicked over yet.

I just want to know. If it's not listed, then comment on which is best.
Also, trackballs count!
Personally I like the Performance MX best, with the Marathon Mouse coming in as second.

Why does it take a media storm for Apple to open up on an issue ? It would be so much better if they more forthcoming and frank before an issue snowballs.
your mind is a place i wouldn't want to inhabit. your thought process is sad. i feel sorry for you.

Ahh the man with the shaky hand from the Lion demonstration.
It's hard not to begin shaking using that terrible mouse(Magic Mouse). On a hot summer day it's really hard using it. Here in Denmark the summer is really moist. And because of the surface of the mouse, after a longer period of time sweat begins to assemble on top making the swipe features simply not work. You have to have totally dry fingers and palms for using that mouse.
My point is; Apple, stop making mice all together. You're terrible at it. get a deal with Logitech for instance and have them cook up a beautiful mouse to go with your design standards.
The Magic Trackpad has the same issues like the Magic Mouse has. If it's not cramps it's sweaty palms and fingers.
I felt Craig's pain when he was demoing Lion. I cringed, thinking that it was not the best way to demo the swipe features.
I'm doing it wrong? Story of my life. ;)

Should pass you up in less than 12 hours now :D
Yeah, tell me about it :(
But on the other hand, I already passed a lot of people in the meantime. To bad I can't use any of the Dell's at work, then I could have given you a run for your money. They new ones are all i7's at 2,93 GHZ with a good GPU, 8 GB of ram and SSD's. So, CPU and GPU folding possible. But we need the processing power ourselves as we're a big architectural firm and need to keep the power usage as low as we can as we're already maxed (old building and the city just can't provide us with more power).:(
