Technically..that disk is only for one license to the software. To directly answer your question about it being 'locked' to one, no it isn't. As long as it isn't one of the gray install disks that you got with your computer, you can use the disk in her Leopard Mac.

They were really funny and effective. I miss them.
PC was a riot with some of his schemes.
What happened? Maybe it's because Macs are selling like crazy on their reputation and word of mouth. Why bother spending millions on TV advertising if you don't have to?
Or maybe it's because much can go wrong when you're poking fun at the competition... even if you're understating their faults and downplaying your strengths, it's going to turn off some people and could potentially backfire.
Hoping for a resurrection of these hilarious commercials at the release (escape?) of Windows 8,

OP....You need to give Nintendo a call and yell at them...Don't live with just unpluging the thing all the time...maybe the N will give you a free remote/nunchuck.
Will contact them as soon as I have some free time. I'll let you guys know how it goes down.

how much do you think you've spent alltogether on cases? Do you get cases sent to you by companies at all? and do you regret buying so many cases? I sure do lol but I still can't help wanting more...
I have bought two cases out of the 79. One was the SwitchEasy TRIM for my iPhone 4 and the other was the DLO Jam Jacket for my iPhone 3G. I regret neither of those. :) Everything else was sent out for review.

okay so I did a local telnet from a client and I was able to login to 192.168.1.2 on ports 143, 993, 995 but NOT on ports 25 and 587. I guess this means the router is free and clear however I still cannot understand why SLS is closing those ports.
The mostly likely suspect is that SMTP is not running. There may be nothing blocking those ports, there is just nothing listening. Try the telnet from a Terminal window on the server itself to 192.168.1.2 and 127.0.0.1. If you can't connect, it may be time to debug your mail configuration on the server.

...It says the portable drive has up to 300mb/s transfer rate, while the other one has up to 150mb/s transfer rate...are you editing long format or a hobbiest? mind you Ive seen first time students edit "epic" length projects :P
its simple, find the fastest possible. you cant go wrong with FW800. if however you run into "free" FW400 drives, all you will need is a convertor.
we still use our FW400s at work for FCP and Avid.
We do alot of offline and live shoot/edits/output using FW400 drives.
just so you know FCP will not work with USB Cameras but will work with USB externals.
From day one its always been "dont use internal HD, use FW drives" when it comes to FCP.

Thats good. Before I switched to Mac, my computer's highest score on that stuff was 4.5 and that was the hard drive index. Current MBPs are great, even with Intel HD Graphics 3000

I take it this is an external drive?
Does it work under Windows 7 on your Mac?
B
Nope, it was able to detect it, but was not able to read it, windows 7 asked me to format before use...
but i do have important stuff inside

You don't need to do the File --> Finalize Project. Just go to Share and Export Movie and then select the type of file you want. It will only save one file in the format you choose and not four different ones. See attached screen shots. One more question, after I Export them, can I delete the projects and the events?
Thanks again. :)
Thanks again. :)

There's this awesome show called "MythBusters" and they tested this theory out-- it is true, using the AC kills fuel economy when compared to just having the windows down.
Two SUVs were used; exact same specs, model, everything... Same exact amount of fuel put in and one driver blasted the AC the whole time while the other drove w/ the windows down. They drove around and around an open race track. Although the data was screwy nobody could deny the truth because the AC using SUV rolled to a standstill over a half an hour before the windows-down SUV did.
Who run's their AC full blast? In reality? The only time I have ever done that is when it is 110 degrees outside...

Mapping the home folder to second drive on a separate controller(as opposed to a slaved IDE drive or partition on the boot drive) will actually yield higher overall system performance.
This is due to the fact that your system will now be able to read/write to system and user directories simultaneously.
Here's a detailed explanation of the process, copied from macgurus forum:

Actually, I think we just had the the two seconds needed to type 'friendship elton john liz taylor' into Google before making an (incorrect) blanket statement. ;)

Just picked up an Otterbox Defender and I love it.
My question to the people who own this case is how does it hold up over time? Is it best to leave the phone in the Otterbox 24/7 or should it be taken out on occasion to prevent damage?

hello,
I just installed OS X on my Cube and it doesn't offer me a reasonable widescreen resolution. The only ones i seem to have available are all too high and make the text far too small on my screen.
My display is a 42" plasma and the best resolution i've found for it using my PC is 1152 x 648. I'm pretty sure that was the same resolution i was able to get running OS 9 as well.
Is there a way to tweak my resolution in OS X to something other than the ones it offers? Even if it involves some third party software.

I'm of two minds, which I don't think are really all that incompatible.
The cynical pragmatist side says, "hope in one hand and crap in the other, and see which piles up first." Hoping things work out is no substitute for doing something, anything, to make them work out. I grew up around people who took "hope" to suggest they should just let everything go and trust "God" to make their lives work out as "He" sees fit, and that passive attitude disgusts me.
On the other hand, hope is the counterpoint to despair and resignation that the worst will happen despite what we do. Hope can encourage us to take positive action when we would otherwise be discouraged into complacency by the perceived likelihood of failure. I have seen too many people with negative attitudes who have an almost uncanny tendency to get exactly what they expect out of life. Depressive fatalism likewise disgusts me.
The common thread, of course, is that hope is valuable to exactly the extent it gets you off your ass and into the game. Whatever encourages that is a virtue; whatever discourages it a vice.
As for my own sources and objects of hope, that's a bit too personal for PRSI.
Fantastic post... one of MANY! Though it's a terribly embarrassing cop-out, I really couldn't put it any better so I don't dare try, it's hopeless. :p

That's not true. LG have a relatively new LED backlit IPS monitor series, I believe they do a 20, 22 and 23 inch.
I stand corrected. Wasn't aware of any other IPS LED panels.
