I really hope this is not approved. We need more cell carriers not fewer.Just look at the way banks are allowed to suck up each other nobody will stop this merger.

Got it - it's a 30GB drive pulled from an iBook about a year back when the iBook died. Seems to work fine - I'm reformatting it right now. Lemme know if you're interested, and what you wanna pay.
Thanks!
UPdate: It's a Toshiba MK3025GAS drive - 30GB, ATA-100, 4200rpm.

ETA, thats great. How exactly do you have it setup?
IMO Using the aggregate soundcard function is not a permanent solution.
Its much better to have the all the audio coming in/out of one device.
You will get much greater sound quality, reliability and less latency using one device.
This will be very important if you want to/end up djing outside your own home.

^^ I do realise 150+ is alot to spend initially but in the long run you will see the benefits outweigh the cost.
The phrase "buy cheap buy twice" is worth thinking about.

I read the MacRumors battery guide. What I did not see- is there a preferred way to treat your laptop battery? Is it better to always allow it to run through full cycles or does it hurt your batter if you spend several days with your laptop hooked to the power supply?
Thanks! ;)
Thanks! ;)

Oh, if you click on big black pencil the pencil turns into a curser and stops writing. But that just ruins the fun!

bobnugget ===> Thanks for your reply, yes I new using OSX, but I have my Windowze machine besides my Mac BookPro; before turning off the power switch or button I did a search in Google and found that procedure (cmd-option-esc) but nothing... no response, freeze.. didn't have a feedback of the machine (remembered my Windows 95 or 98).
I had to use the last resource as the research suggested me. Turn the power button down, wait a few seconds and restart the machine.

I would say yes, there are more people folding here at MacRumors. Also, the folders post a lot more.

There is no Apple store near Green Bay, WI (nearest is in Milwaukee) so the only real option is the AT&T store at Bay Park Square Mall. I've got confirmation that the store is opening at 7am. However, the manager stated that he did not know how Mall Security would handle people waiting in line prior to mall opening. He did say that during the 3Gs launch people were allowed to park in the parking lot around 4am (said nothing about waiting by the doors to the mall). Since this is an enclosed mall store opening it does have its challenges. Which mall doors will open first, etc.
Anyway, I'm going to be doing repeated drive bys through out the overnight (from midnight on) and as soon as I see people waiting I'm heading on in. Will probably wait by the main doors by the food court. We will see how it goes from there.
I'll be checking with Mall Security on Wednesday to get updated information. I'll post what I find out.

Probably 11. Or 10.8 and 10.9 and maybe even 10.10. But it's been 11 years. So next should be 11 or something else.

Thanks, yes I mean encapsulation.
I'll investigate these strategies. I can take the easy way out and recreate a new animated view with every viewController but it just seems wrong.

I like the site and all. Pretty cool. However, the pencil just seemed to be a bit to large for me and it just did not make much sense why. I found drawing with it awkward. I'll try to show this to my professional practices class on Monday.

Same issue here...
2011 MBP. DP2 ran fine. The first DP2 Update did also work w/o a flaw. Just applying the last update destroyed and the Book freezes during the boot process as stated above.
Gonna reinstall DP2...
Really kind of lame this issue... but hell...it's a Dev Preview... things like that can happen...

I don't think you're missing anything. It sounds like you just don't find Merlin's writing and speaking as inspirational or entertaining as his fans do.
I don't follow him as much as I used to, but a few years back he was writing a lot about productivity tools like Quicksilver and OmniFocus, and I got a lot out of those posts. His work clearly speaks to a lot of people, as he is fairly "Internet-famous" (e.g. having been invited to speak at Google and elsewhere). If the credentials for a motivational speaker include having motivated a sufficiently large number of people, he seems to have passed that test.
You are probably right. I just feel like the person in the room who doesn't get the joke, when everyone else is laughing.
I suppose he's an acquired taste.
Re: Productivity, I think David Sparks from MackSparky.com has some great ideas. I bought his book Mac at Work on Kindle and its a pretty good read.

Very interesting workflow. AFter much thinking and trying to use the laptop for another few days, I've copied everything back to the mac. I got tired of hearing the fans run consistently. I like the MP and definitely going to keep it. As for MBP, I dunno, I don't have much need for mobile. If I ever do, I can always buy a cheaper laptop. For now, I'll stick with the ipad. Although can't do work on it, it does work well for remoting/showing quick stuff to clients. Nothing beats a six-core, however.
